Ankara University Students Met Kyrgyz Music in an Online Lesson


Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Faculty of Fine Arts and Ankara University State Conservatory held an online lesson on April 28, 2026, within the scope of academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Students of Ankara University State Conservatory attended the lesson online. The program was moderated by Lecturer Gökhan Usal from the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts.

The lesson, which started at 14:00, featured two sessions conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anarbek Ibraev and Lecturer Elvira Nasyranbekova. In the first session, Kyrgyz vocal art was discussed, while in the second session participants were given comprehensive information about the art of the komuz. Throughout the program, various examples of Kyrgyz music were presented, enriching the lesson with practical content.

Thanks to the online lesson, students had the opportunity to closely explore Kyrgyz musical culture and traditional arts. The event also contributed to strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities.

At the end of the lesson, students’ questions were answered, and participants expressed their satisfaction with the program.
