A Talk on “Learning to Learn” Held with Gapır Madaminov at the Department of Educational Sciences


A talk titled “Learning to Learn” was organized at the Department of Educational Sciences with the participation of students and innovative educator Gapır Madaminov.

During the program, Madaminov emphasized the importance of developing students’ self-directed learning skills and stated that learning should not be limited to the classroom environment. In his presentation, he highlighted that individuals should be able to plan their learning process, analyze information, make sense of it, and retain it effectively.

Within the scope of the talk, attention was given to helping students develop independent study habits, take an active role in the learning process, and use various learning techniques effectively. The importance of systematic approaches in preparing course papers, projects, and theses was also emphasized.

Madaminov noted that using schemas, tables, and diagrams contributes to better understanding of subjects, and he provided suggestions for improving reading, comprehension, and analytical skills. He also stressed that questioning one’s own learning, establishing cause-and-effect relationships, and engaging in regular revision support academic success.

The presentation further highlighted that developing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and self-directed learning habits is essential for both academic and professional growth. Madaminov underlined that the learning process requires personal responsibility and should be managed consciously by students.

The program concluded with a Q&A session. At the end of the event, Gapır Madaminov was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
