Curriculum is being renewed at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University

It is aimed to provide students with a much higher quality education, to have them graduated with the skills required in the 21st century, and to prepare them for social and professional life in the most efficient way.

In accordance with renewing the state education standards regarding higher education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, program development activities have started; on February 16, 2022 a seminar on the development of education programs within the framework of international criteria was given to the program development commissions established in academic units. 

At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Recai Dogan, Prof. Dr. Kürşad Yılmaz and Assoc. Dr. Erkan Efilti made presentations on writing program competencies, creating course catalogs, and the principles to be considered in the program development process.

A chairman of the KTMU Curriculum Revision and Development Commission established by the University Senate, Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan made a report on the seminar and its process to MEDIAMANAS. Recai Doğan stated that one of the most important features of a good university is that it raises graduates equipped with the skills required by the modern age, that students who receive education in a university with this understanding can educate themselves in a versatile way, that they are entrepreneurial, career development-oriented and productive in addition to gaining basic skills in their field. He said that he started the study of revising and improving the curriculum in order to provide the students with the qualifications expected from university graduates today.

It is aimed to complete and implement the program development activities at KTMU as soon as possible.
