Embodying the spirit of “More Than Just a University” in every field, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) has once again set an inspiring example of generosity and solidarity.
The traditional charity fair held at the Oba Garden on the Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus became a symbol of kindness that grows stronger when shared.
As will be remembered, on September 29, 2025, the food charity fair jointly organized by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bishkek, and the benevolent women of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital showcased a remarkable example of solidarity.
Organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Nezahat Ceylan from the Department of History, the fair embodied unity as its proceeds were swiftly turned into meaningful support.

Speaking about the university’s charitable initiatives, Prof. Dr. Nezahat Ceylan, academic staff of the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities, emphasized the spiritual value of such activities.
She stated, “The aid initiative launched under the slogan ‘More Than Just a University’ has been successfully carried out for four years through the dedicated efforts of our female academic and administrative staff.” Providing more details about the project, Prof. Dr. Ceylan explained that the clothing room is regularly stocked with new, stylish, and practical clothes for both the winter and spring semesters, serving both female and male students.
She also highlighted that donated clothes are quickly received by students in need and that new items are continuously added to ensure the sustainability of the project. Prof. Dr. Ceylan expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the female academic and administrative staff, faculty members’ spouses, and the entire Manas University family for their support, stating, “It brings us great happiness to see our aid reach those in need.”
In her closing remarks, Prof. Dr. Ceylan underlined that this spirit of solidarity strengthens the culture of sharing and helping within the university community. She also announced that another charity fair will be held in the spring semester, and the proceeds will once again be used to support students in need through the “Clothing Donation Initiative” project—ensuring that this tradition of solidarity continues throughout the year.
Through such initiatives, Manas University once again demonstrates its commitment not only to education but also to social responsibility and the culture of solidarity, creating an atmosphere filled with hope and support for its students.
