Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMÜ) family celebrated the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan with joy, having experienced a month marked by unity, togetherness, and solidarity, and welcomed Eid al-Fitr in peace, health, and happiness.
Following the Eid prayer held at the KTMU Abdulkerim Satuk Buğra Han Mosque with the participation of tens of thousands of people from across Kyrgyzstan, the Rectorate hosted a breakfast for students. KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Secretary-General Dr. Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil met with students to exchange holiday greetings.
Students Celebrated Ramadan on Campus
Students expressed that the Ramadan activities organized at Manas University allowed them to experience this blessed month to the fullest on the Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus. They highlighted how the university’s facilities enabled them to engage deeply with cultural and spiritual values. Grateful to the university's administration, students shared their joy of celebrating the holiday in a family-like environment.
After the meetings with students, the university's administration, academic staff, administrative personnel, and their families gathered at the KTMU Social Facilities Building for the traditional Eid celebration program.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ceylan: “We Are a Large Family United by Love”
KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan extended his Eid greetings to the entire Manas University's family and expressed his happiness in concluding Ramadan within a spirit of unity, solidarity, and strong spiritual atmosphere.
Prof. Dr. Ceylan highlighted the wide range of activities organized throughout the holy month, spanning social responsibility projects, cultural and artistic events, academic initiatives, and media broadcasts. He noted that the traditional street iftar attracted nearly 8,000 participants and has become a model tradition in the Turkish world.
He emphasized that events organized by various units of the university allowed the spiritual essence of Ramadan to be strongly felt across campus. Prof. Dr. Ceylan underscored that Manas University is not merely an educational institution but also a place offering a strong family environment.
People often use the term ‘abroad’; however, here we are not abroad. As the Manas family, we are together as one large family,” he said, emphasizing that love is the foundation of everything, and extended his Eid greetings to the entire Manas University community.
Participants in the Eid program highlighted that the “Sultan of Eleven Months,” Ramadan, had been observed in peace and prayer. University members expressed their hopes that all charitable and support activities conducted during Ramadan would be accepted and conveyed their gratitude to all those involved.
