KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan Awarded Membership in the Kyrgyz National Writers Union

Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan has been awarded membership in the Kyrgyz Republic National Writers Union, an esteemed organization that brings together distinguished figures contributing to the literary, cultural, and intellectual life of the Kyrgyz Republic. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, a membership badge was formally presented to him by the Union’s Chairman Kanybek Imanaliev. This badge symbolizes Prof. Dr. Ceylan’s significant contributions to academia and culture.

This prestigious membership is granted to writers who contribute to the development of Kyrgyz literature, the preservation of national cultural values, and their promotion at the international level. It is regarded not only as recognition of literary production but also of intellectual, scientific, and cultural contributions. In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that this membership represents not only a personal honor but also holds great significance for the institution he represents and for the broader vision of academic cooperation within the Turkic world. He stated: “It is a great honor for me to become a member of such a respected union that represents Kyrgyzstan’s deep-rooted literary tradition. I see this membership as a responsibility to further strengthen the cultural and scientific ties between our countries.”

Chairman Kanybek Imanaliev highlighted that, in addition to Prof. Dr. Ceylan’s academic achievements, he stands out for his sensitivity toward the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world and his efforts to pass this heritage on to future generations. He also noted that this membership would contribute to deepening cultural interaction between the two countries.
