Workshop on “Teaching Turkish to Turkic Peoples” Held at KTMU

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted the workshop titled “Teaching Turkish to Turkic Peoples: Experience, Transformation, Future” with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation in the field of teaching Turkish to Turkic peoples, enhancing the exchange of experiences, and evaluating future-oriented educational approaches. Organized in collaboration with the KTMU High School of Foreign Languages and Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, the event was held at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall.

The workshop was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdal Aydoğmuş, Director of the High School of Foreign Languages at KTMU; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülbanu Duman, Director of the Preparatory School at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University; as well as numerous academicians. During the sessions held within the scope of the program, participants gathered in different working groups to discuss the current state and future of teaching Turkish to Turkic peoples. Presentations were delivered on the topics of “The Future Vision of Turkish,” “Teaching Turkish to Turkic Peoples: Advantages and Challenges,” “Material Development,” “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Applications,” and “Professional Competence and Field Knowledge.” Problems, needs, and solution proposals related to the field were examined in detail.

Rector Ceylan: “Turkish Is One of the Strongest Bonds of Unity in the Turkic World”

In the closing session of the workshop, KTMU Rector Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that the Turkish language is one of the strongest ties reinforcing unity, solidarity, and brotherhood across the Turkic world. Prof. Dr. Ceylan stated that they attach great importance to academic studies aimed at promoting the more effective and widespread international use of Turkish. He also noted that the opinions and recommendations put forward during the workshop would be carefully evaluated by the university administration.
