The Washing and Shrouding of the Deceased
Within the framework of the Faculty’s 2026 social responsibility activities, a seminar titled “The Washing and Shrouding of the Deceased” was held for women on March 12, 2026.
The seminar was organized under the coordination of Zhamila Zhoraeva, a staff member of the Faculty of Theology at KTMU. The training aimed to increase public awareness regarding funeral services and provided informative guidance on the processes of washing and shrouding the deceased.
During the seminar, participants were informed about the stages of washing, cleansing, and shrouding the deceased in accordance with Islamic practices. The procedures were explained both theoretically and practically.
The organizers stated that such educational activities contribute to the proper and conscious performance of funeral services within society.
At the end of the program, participants’ questions were answered.
Approximately 150 women attended the seminar and followed the program with great interest. Officials announced that the program will continue every Thursday at the same time.
