On April 7, 2026, Associate Professor Razia Abdieva conducted a seminar on ESG and sustainable microfinance. During the event, the ESG performance of the microfinance sector in Kyrgyzstan was analyzed, revealing an average score of 70.73%. This result indicates a moderately high level of sustainability within the sector. The researchers emphasized that, despite significant progress in the social and governance dimensions, the environmental component requires further development.
As a result of the seminar, several recommendations were put forward, including enhancing financial literacy, promoting green finance mechanisms, and supporting women’s and youth entrepreneurship.
