Meaningful Touch from Youth: A Bridge of Kindness at Umut Uyu

On April 14, third-year students of the “Finance and Credit” program, under the supervision of their advisor, Associate Professor Damira Baygonushova, carried out a charitable visit to the “Ümüt Üyü” social residential institution for elderly people and citizens with disabilities in Bishkek.

With the support of the university, the students brought gifts to the residents as part of this visit. They warmly interacted with the institution’s administration and residents, asked about their well-being, and showed care and attention.

This visit was not only a practical activity for the students but also a meaningful lesson in humanity and social responsibility. Future financiers strengthened their understanding of respect for the elderly, social responsibility, and volunteering in practice.

Associate Professor Damira Baygonushova noted that such initiatives make a significant contribution to shaping students’ personal qualities and encouraging their engagement in socially beneficial activities, and expressed her gratitude to the university administration for their support.
