March 8 – International Women’s Day: A Group Exhibition of Women Artists Has Opened.


A Group Exhibition of Women Artists, organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University within the scope of International Women’s Day (March 8), was opened at the Kurmancan Datka Art Gallery.

The exhibition was organized with the contribution of the Department of Painting and aimed to highlight women’s role in society, their labor, and their creative potential through artistic expression.

The exhibition features artworks produced using various techniques. Female figures and floral themes stand out prominently in the works, while artists also address themes such as nature, life, labor, and freedom.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özkarcı, emphasized the honored place of women in society and stated that the exhibition was dedicated to all female staff members of the university.

The Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, highlighted the significant role of women in Turkish culture and noted that women represent the enlightened face of society.

The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the participating women artists.
