Seminars by Associate Professor Dr. Tahsin Hazırbulan
Associate Professor Dr. Tahsin Hazırbulan, a faculty member of the Department of History at Ahi Evran University in Kırşehir, visited our Department of History as part of the Erasmus+ program from April 21 to 25, 2025. On April 22, 2025, he conducted a seminar for students on the topic "The Akhi Order and Professional Ethics." Dr. Tahsin Hazırbulan spoke about the characteristics of the Akhi organization, which was widespread generally among craftsmen, and emphasized its significant role in history.
On April 25, 2025, Dr. Tahsin Hazırbulan also gave a seminar titled "The Conquest of Istanbul," dedicated to the history of the Ottoman Empire. During the seminar, he covered topics such as the Anatolian beyliks, the formation and rise of the Ottoman state, the role of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, the conquest of Istanbul, as well as the methods and techniques used during the conquest. Dr. Hazırbulan’s seminars generated great interest among the students.
