Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics

The Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics was opened in 2007. The first students were admitted in the 2007-2008 academic year. The selection and admission of students (citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and other countries) to the department is based on the results of the Student Selection and Evaluation Center of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and the National Examination.

The Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of our university aims to train well-equipped individuals for the technological needs of the future. Located at the intersection between mathematics and computer science, this department aims to provide students with both theoretical and practical skills.

Our department offers a rich curriculum covering core topics such as mathematical modelling, data analysis, algorithm design and computer programming. Students can use this foundational knowledge to create solutions to real-world problems in a variety of fields. Hands-on opportunities such as projects, internships and research laboratories offer students the chance to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

The academic staff of our department consists of experienced and specialized faculty members. Under the guidance of this academic staff, students can develop projects and conduct research in their fields of interest.

The Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics educates its graduates as individuals who have developed analytical thinking skills, can use technology effectively and have strong problem-solving skills. In this way, our graduates can have successful careers both in the industrial sector and in the academic world.

If you want to shape the technology of the future by combining mathematics and computer science, choosing the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics will be the right step.

Prof.Dr.
Ercan СELİK

Head of the Department

Mathematics is the language of the universe. Applied Mathematics aims to produce solutions in industry and academia by applying theoretical mathematics to real-world problems. In addition, remarkable success has been achieved by using mathematical modelling and optimization techniques in many fields.

Understanding the power of mathematics and using it in practice is critical to tackling any complex problem that needs to be solved. In our department, we enable our students to develop their analytical thinking skills by combining mathematics with real-world applications.

The education provided in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics enables you to master computer programming and language skills. These skills can be used for the development of various systems, specializing in areas such as software development, computer networks and databases.
