Master’s Degree Program

KTMU-Department of Mathematics offers a Master’s degree program with a curriculum enabling the students to proceed their forefront knowledge in the major fields of mathematics. The curriculum includes a standard of four terms (two years) and is completed with the thesis.

The program focuses on research as well as covering pedagogical activities. The main goal of our department is to offer a well-designed education and practical training for raising highly qualified persons having deep knowledge and experience in this field.

The knowledge and experience obtained from the program at KTMU-the Department of Mathematics can be applied in a variety of areas including economic and applied disciplines such as mechanics, economics, statistics, decision theory and many others and can be used for practical applications at both state and private sectors.

The objectives of the Master’s Degree Program are;

  • Providing study opportunities by well-designed education program to students who have deep knowledge about their subjects in the areas of modern mathematics;
  • Teaching mathematical methods to the students;
  • Developing research abilities of the students;
  • Teaching life-long learning to the students;
  • Providing information about being aware of social subjects, responsibilities, ethical and professional issues to the students.
