Screening and Discussion of the Film “Urkuya” Held to Promote Kyrgyz Culture
In order to promote a deeper understanding of Kyrgyz culture and historical values, students and faculty members of the Department of Mathematics organized an event titled “Watching and Discussing the Film ‘Urkuya’.” As part of the event, the significant Kyrgyz film Urkuya was screened collectively.
Following the screening, a discussion session was held focusing on the historical background of the film, its social message, and its portrayal of the cultural values of the Kyrgyz people. Participants exchanged views on themes such as female heroism, the social structure of the period depicted, and issues of national identity presented in the film.
The event aimed to contribute not only to the academic development of students but also to their cultural and historical awareness. Faculty members emphasized that such activities help strengthen interdisciplinary perspectives and enhance cultural awareness within the university environment.
