As part of the seminars organized by the Continuing Education Center of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, a seminar titled “Ethical Boundaries of Using Artificial Intelligence in Research” was held.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ercan Gül, a faculty member of the Department of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities of KTMU, participated in the seminar as the keynote speaker. The seminar, which attracted significant interest from both academic staff and students, addressed the role of artificial intelligence in academic research from a multidimensional perspective.
In his presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gül emphasized the fundamental ethical principles related to the use of artificial intelligence, highlighting issues such as data security, academic integrity, transparency, and proper citation practices. Referring to the increasing role of artificial intelligence in research, he also underscored not only the advantages it offers but also the ethical sensitivities it entails.
Additionally, examples were presented demonstrating the use of artificial intelligence in various research processes, including data analysis, literature review, and content generation.
