The meeting, held at the Rectorate Senate Hall, was attended by KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, Secretary-General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Ramazan Istanbullugil, and International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Serkan Yildirim.

During the program, where students had the opportunity to closely learn about KTMU and the academic and cultural facilities offered by the university, joint efforts with TİKA, educational and cultural relations between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan, and the role of youth in carrying the ties between the two countries into the future were discussed.

Ceylan: “Manas is More Than Just a University”

Talking with the students, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that KTMU is a unique higher education institution established through the joint will of Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan, carrying the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations to future generations through education, science, and culture.

Drawing attention to the university's slogan "More Than Just a University," Rector Ceylan said: “The meaning carried by Manas is based on an understanding that goes beyond the boundaries of academic education. This is a university where the shared values, culture, and vision for the future of Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan come together through young people. It is very precious for us that you have come here to closely experience Kyrgyzstan and Manas. Sharing the experiences you gain and the friendships you build here with other young people when you return to your country will contribute to further strengthening these bonds.”

“We Attach Importance to Establishing Strong Communication with Our Students”

Stating that university life requires a strong communication environment between students and the academic and administrative management, Rector Ceylan expressed that at KTMU, they attach great importance to making students feel like an active part of the university community.

Pointing out that direct communication with youth is one of the essential elements of university culture, Ceylan noted that such programs bringing together students from different countries hold great value in terms of mutual recognition, intercultural learning, and building lasting friendships.

KTMU Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibrayev informed the students about the university's position in Kyrgyz higher education and its contributions to the development of academic relations between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan.

Expressing that KTMU is one of the leading higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan, Ibrayev stated that the ongoing cooperation with TİKA provides a basis for significant work in the fields of education and culture. Ibrayev noted that projects bringing youth together carry special importance for new generations to recognize and further develop the historical and cultural closeness between the two countries.

As part of the program, a promotional film describing the academic structure, campus life, and opportunities offered by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was screened for the students. Following the screening, during a question-and-answer session, students had the opportunity to ask university executives direct questions regarding education and student life at KTMU.
