Associate Professor Dr. Mahabat Konurbayeva delivered a lecture at Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov for students of the Technological Institute, specializing in “Technology of Public Catering Products.”
Her lecture, entitled “Microbial Biofilms in Food Production: From Molecular Mechanisms to Risk Management,” addressed the mechanisms of biofilm formation, their role in the food industry, and modern approaches to controlling associated risks. Both fundamental molecular aspects and practical applications in food safety were discussed.
Following the lecture, the students visited our Department of Plant Protection, where a guided tour of the laboratories was organized. The visitors were introduced to the department’s research areas, laboratory equipment, and ongoing scientific work.
Such activities contribute to strengthening inter-university academic cooperation and broadening students’ professional perspectives.
