A seminar was held at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) to introduce the new Student Affairs Information System developed by the university. The event took place on October 7, 2025, at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall. The seminar was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş, Secretary General Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil, department heads, academicians, and university staff.
In his opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İsmet Altıntaş stated that the new system was an important step in the university’s digital transformation process. Prof. Dr. Altıntaş emphasized that the system was developed entirely by KTMU’s own software team and noted that the project was largely complete.
Prof. Dr. Altıntaş added that the new Student Affairs Information System was designed to meet not only current needs but also future requirements, and he thanked the entire team for their efforts.
Following the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita İsmailova, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, gave a technical presentation on the system. Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmailova explained the general operation of the new system and its features for academic staff in detail. She provided information about the user modules prepared for department deans, academic advisors, and faculty members, presenting sample applications for course registration, advisor approval, grade entry, attendance tracking, transcript retrieval, and reporting processes.
The seminar, which was followed with great interest by the participants, continued interactively with a question-and-answer session. Academic staff had the opportunity to obtain detailed information on topics they were curious about regarding the use of the new system.
The program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rita İsmailova, the Department of Student Affairs staff, and the Information Technology Office team, followed by a group photo.
