On April 15, 2026, a roundtable meeting titled "Implementation of Halal Standards in Mass Catering Enterprises: Problems and Perspectives" was organized by the Department of Mass Nutrition at KTMU Razzakov University. The event was attended by Sapargul Turdubekova, a lecturer at the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Faculty of Tourism, KTMU, and Chinara Asankulova from the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Tourism.
During the meeting, a report on "Halal Tourism: Standardization of Services" was presented. The event was held with the participation of representatives from the Kyrgyzstan Halal Industry Development Center, Kyrgyzsstandart, Gosstandart, and the Halal Department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK).
The discussions focused on the current challenges of implementing Halal standards in Halal industry enterprises and possible solutions. Representatives of the Halal industry emphasized the lack of qualified specialists to apply these standards. In this regard, they proposed introducing courses related to Halal standards into university curricula in order to meet the needs of the rapidly growing market.
