Seminar on “Manas and Theater”
On April 23, 2024, the seminar “Manas and Theater” organized by the Department of Theater of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the KTMU was held at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall.
The seminar was attended by Kyrgyz writer and theater critic Janysh Kulmambetov; Manasist Rysbai Isakov; Director of the Manas and Chyngyz Aitmatov National Academy Talantaaly Bakchiev; Director of the Manas Theater Aziz Biymurza uulu; Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of KTMU, Prof. Dr. Chagatai Akengin, as well as faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed at introducing important works such as Manas, Semetei and Seitek, commenced with students reading a chapter from the Manas Epic.
Lecturer Taalaikul Tashmanbetova from the Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Theater provided detailed information to the participants about the purpose and importance of the seminar. Throughout the seminar, the speakers shared significant information on the theme of “Manas and Theater” and exchanged ideas.

The event successfully achieved its goal of enhancing the ability of future actors to perceive, feel, think, remember, and narrate, as well as presenting Kyrgyz epic works to the audience through the stage. The seminar concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
